Explore every perspective of developing a building that breeds wellbeing with our first-ever Project 360.

Design Museum invites you to Project 360, an insider’s look at Interior Office Solutions’ new showroom and Portland’s soon-to-be first WELL Building Standard office space! The event features an exploration of WELL by showcasing leaders who played an integral role in the conception and completion of this project. Attendees will participate in an interactive tour to gain a deep understanding of WELL and a 360° view of an impressive workplace innovation undertaking, including the architecture, design, construction, and use of the space.

The WELL Building Standard requires an approach to design that prioritizes internal and external individual wellness above all else. With an emphasis on seven critical concept categories—Air, Water, Nourishment, Light, Fitness, Comfort, and Mind—the WELL Building Standard outlines a specific set of research-based conditions that, when met, establish an enriched environment that nourishes the wellbeing of the individuals within it.  Our Project 360 event will illustrate the complete process of fulfilling the WELL Building Standard from a diverse set of perspectives.

We can significantly improve the human condition through the way we design, construct, and operate our buildings” – WELL Building standard, condensed summary

What is the Center for Workplace Innovation?

Well-designed workplaces translate into higher productivity, happier teams, longer employee retention, and increased revenue. Workplace innovation is a multidisciplinary endeavor, involving many design disciplines: architects, interior designers, furniture designers, product designers, graphic designers – it also involves business leaders, entrepreneurs, behavioral scientists, organizational behavior experts, and more.

The Center for Workplace Innovation at Design Museum Foundation exists to demonstrate how design and innovation can transform the way we work. The Center is part think tank and part resource – a hub for content and inspiration, cultivating a global community of thought leaders to advance the field. Our goal is to educate and inspire, to drive change in workplaces around the world.

Project 360 is a special event series aimed at telling the full story of the most transformational design projects across our 12 Design Impact Areas. Each event features multiple, short presentations from the multidisciplinary thought leaders, stakeholders, and decision makers associated with the project—taking the audience through the project from multiple points of view. As they visit each knowledge point, guests will have the opportunity to experience the distinct perspectives of all key figures involved in the project and ultimately gain a 360° understanding.
