A Little Love for Design

Happy Valentine’s Day!

We want to show some love to some of the art, inspiration, and education that our community has to offer. Here are some of our recent favorites:

1. “We The People” at Wieden + Kennedy

When you need to relive the inspiration from last month’s PDX Women’s March, just head to the Pearl. Posters are saved and displayed in the Wieden + Kennedy lobby on NW 13th.

We’re overcome by the creativity, voice, and power of this community and are so grateful that it has been preserved for continuous enjoyment. All the feels.

2. Artful Beer Consumption

We love enjoying local brews, this is a well-known fact. What we didn’t know is that you can up your container game and carry or deliver your beer in serious style.

We found a gorgeous collection of artisan-painted growlers by Portland Growler Company tucked away inside Interior Architects’ studio.

You can even order custom monograms! We think we need a Design Museum growler stat.

3. Health in the Workplace

We’re all for taking our bodily health into our hands.

What we’re fascinated by now is improving wellness of the buildings in which we spend our days. The Center for Architecture has an exhibition on Building Fit through this month only – check it out before it’s gone!

P.S. a little birdie told us Portland’s first WELL Certified Building is coming this summer, and we cannot wait.

4. Great Design Behind Closed Doors

If you didn’t hear, there’s a secret office on wheels hiding behind Hand-Eye Supply on Broadway!

The spectacular designers of the Mobile Work Unit (MWU) created for comfort and collaboration, and of course insulation in the colder months.

Nothing gets us going like workplace innovation and great design.

Give yourself a gift and check out these amazing displays. Keep on designing with heart, Portland.
