Design Museum Foundation is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and enthusiastic educator to grow the Museum’s education initiatives at a pivotal moment for the institution. The position is full-time and reports to the Executive Director.
The Education Program Associate will:
- Lead short-term and long-term youth and adult education programs, including: Development and curriculum writing, Administration, Budgeting, Scheduling, Training facilitators, volunteers, and other educators, Producing educational experiences, Evaluation and impact assessment
- Produce engaging and impactful curriculum
- Develop and foster relationships with students, teachers/administrators, and potential partners
Qualified applications will have:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- One to three years of education experience or experience in a similar environment.
- Experience teaching and working with students of all ages – from kids to CEOs.
- Experience researching, developing, and teaching curriculum.
- Design experience is a must, either personally or professionally.
- Proven capability to work in a multicultural environment, including sensitivity and competency in working with individuals of multiple cultural, socioeconomic, and lifestyle backgrounds.
- Strong interpersonal skills: listening, public speaking, oral and written communication.

Technical Skills Required:
- Expertise in: Googledocs, Pages/Microsoft word, Keynote/Powerpoint
- Audio/Visual: working with projectors/laptops, audio setup, microphones/cords/PA, etc
- Experience design/presentation, attendee experience from start to finish
- Curriculum writing and design, with the ability to make it accessible to any age
- Graphic design skills (working knowledge of Adobe programs) are a plus!
- Full-time commitment, which includes morning and evening events.
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team, sometimes under high stress.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.

- On-site at Design Museum Boston’s office at 50 Milk St. 16th Floor Boston, MA
- Salary range: $40,000-50,000
