Design Museum Mornings with Dana Chisnell from the Center for Civic Design

Voting in the United States can be difficult. Many factors including state of residence, access to transportation, local voting laws, among others, can impact a person’s ability to vote. The journey to the polling station is made up of a series of rational decisions that can easily cause one to abandon the voting process. Join us for December’s Design Museum Mornings presentation to learn more about this complex journey!

More often than not, election officials think a voter’s path is more straightforward than it truly turns out to be. By analyzing the differences between the perceived path of voters and their actual path, election organizers and civic designers can better understand the obstacles American voters face during election seasons.

Gather with us along with our speaker Dana Chisnell, co-director of the Center for Civic Design for December’s Design Museum Morning to learn how the voting process in the US is being addressed from a design standpoint. This presentation kicks off at 8:30am on the morning of December 15th at Red Thread, and will feature audience Q&A, breakfast, coffee, and plenty of great design discussion!

Doors open at 8:30 am; presentation begins at 9:00 am.
