This workshop invites both children and parents to participate in building unique playscapes with all natural materials on The Greenway. Led by local artist and craftsman, Mitch Ryerson, each session will focus on the importance of nature play, group building, teamwork, imagination, and learning to build with new materials. This event is part of a series of family and children’s workshops hosted by Design Museum Boston and BSA Space, focusing on design and play throughout the summer. There will be two Saturday sessions with 15 spots each.

This family program is designed for parents and children aged 7 to 12 years old. Each child must be registered individually and accompanied by an adult, with a maximum ratio of 1 adult for every 3 children required. Upon registration, please fill out attendee information for children only; adults accompanying children do not need to register individually.

Kids Design Workshops are a complementary component of Design Museum Boston’s ongoing exhibition Extraordinary Playscapes. This summer workshop is presented in partnership with BSA Space and The Greenway.
