Come celebrate the opening of Design Museum Boston’s latest installation, the Pattern Walk! Five free standing beacon structures will showcase original pattern designs from five of Boston’s most creative graphic designers, all centering around the theme of Connecting Boston’s Neighborhoods. Installed at Channel Park, these beacons are an example of how design can transform public space, a transformation we’re furthering later this summer through our Urban Innovation Festival, also taking place at Channel Park.
Each pattern has it’s own unique story and approach. Participating designers include David Bates of ’47, Stoltze Design, Mø Morales of SapientNitro, Jon Lopkin of Raizlabs, and Korn Design. The patterns will be on view from April 29th – August 1st.
Celebrate these unique new patterns by mingling with the designers and learning more about our Urban Innovation Festival at our Opening Reception on May 5th from 6:30-8:30pm at Troy Boston’s Penthouse Lounge. Featuring drinks, light appetizers, and tours of the pattern installation, we’re also partnering with Viber to announce the launch of a brand new sticker pack on the app featuring our patterns! Be sure to download the Viber app today to join in on the sticker pack excitement.
