Design Museum Welcomes New Members to Board of Directors

November 29, 2017 — Design Museum Foundation, a national non-profit design museum with branches in Boston, San Francisco, and Portland, Oregon, is excited to announce the appointment of two new members to its Board of Directors, as well as updates to the leadership team.

New Board Members:

  • Emily Klein, Principal at Flexwork Global
  • Ashley Welch, Co-Founder at Somersault Innovation

New Board Officers:

  • Jeff Monahan, Board Chair and Founder & Creative Director at Proper Villains
  • Chokdee Rutirasiri, Vice Board Chair and Founder and CEO of Story + Structure
  • Lauren Jezienicki, Board Secretary and Vice President of Bozzuto Development Company

“We are excited to announce Emily and Ashley joining our Board at Design Museum Foundation, and we welcome to Jeff, Chokdee, and Lauren to their new leadership roles,” said Sam Aquillano, Executive Director of the museum. “The Board guides us in everything we do, including expanding the museum and increasing our impact.”

“As Design Museum continues to grow, I’m honored to welcome Emily and Ashley to the team,” said Jeff Monahan. “With my new role as Board Chair, the mission of Design Museum Foundation is my mission – to work with communities to inspire, educate, and transform using the framework of design. Our board continues to bring insight, expertise, and energy to lead the museum.”

Design Museum would like to thank David Silverman, Principal at Silverman Trykowski Associates, as he moves on from seven years of Design Museum Board service, but remains involved as a Board Member Emeritus.
