Support Design Museum Boston with a Year-end Gift

I’d like to ask that you consider making a year-end gift.

And you’re probably wondering, “Why?”

Here’s my answer…

Because your gift to Design Museum Boston has the power to not only build awareness of the transformative power of design but it also helps us solve some of Boston’s thorniest urban challenges and bring life to our great city.

What’s possible?

How about our plans to activate the space under the I-93 overpass? It’s situated between Chinatown, South Boston, Dorchester, and the South End — with highways and train tracks intersecting, creating dark over-passes and splitting apart neighborhoods. Our goal is to connect the area residents through our program called the Urban Innovation Festival. We hope to bring together artists, designers, engineers, and policymakers to create activity and exhibit innovative solutions to the area’s problems.

And then there’s the design of play. With our upcoming exhibition, Extraordinary Playscapes, we plan to highlight the latest thinking in playground design and development while showing children and parents the power of design to change the built environment around play. And to cap it off, we’re working towards installing a new playground in Boston!

We can’t do any of this without your support. Would you consider helping make these important projects a reality through a year-end gift?

Together, we will design a better world.
